Ringwood were unable to hold onto all three points as Ash United fought back to draw 3-3.
Brown’s brace was all that separated the two sides at the break after Tayo Adekoya gave Ash United the lead from the spot in the ninth minute. Will Orchard extended Ringwood’s lead before James Frudd scored a brace of his own for Ash to secure a point for Surrey based side.
Adekoya gave Ash United the lead nine minutes in when he converted from the spot with a shot to the bottom right corner after Cruz-Diego Dodson brought down Adekoya. The visitors came close to doubling their lead minutes later when Toby Harris let fly from 25 yards however the midfielder’s effort flew wide of the post.
Brown drew Ringwood equal in the 15th minute; Denys Tsyplakov played Brown one-on-one with Ash goalkeeper Aaron Bufton before Brown fired into the bottom left corner. Lee Vint had the ball in the net just after the 20th minute when he poked it past Bufton after a corner, but it was ruled out after Vint was deemed to have used his hands to gain an advantage.
The visitors struck back with a chance of their own when Daniel Roach got on the end of an Adekoya cutback, but it was easily dealt with by Ringwood goalkeeper Felix Bruce.
Brown gave Ringwood the lead minutes before the break. Slick passing play from Tsyplakov and Vint saw the latter square the ball across to Brown who had little more to do than get his shot on target to score his second brace of the week.
Sam Danvers denied the visitors from drawing level when he got in the way of Adekoya as he was about to shoot following a quick turn of direction from the winger.
Orchard made it three shortly into the second half with a lovely finish when he lifted the ball over Bufton after the winger latched onto a poor clearance by Ash’s George Tims.
Frudd pulled one back for the Green Army with 20 minutes to go when he poked home following a scramble in the box.
Vint had a golden opportunity to secure the three points in the 88th minute when he ran onto a bouncing ball inside of the Ash box but lashed his shot wide of the top righthand corner.
Frudd scored the equaliser in the 90th minute when he controlled a long ball from James Mariner and chipped Bruce to share the spoils.
